More Finds...

Happy Thursday,

Today's card is made with the same find it die as Tuesday however this time I have used the die to make a inverted card where the design works into the card.  I stared by cutting a square of gold stardust card.  I the  cut the largest die in the set along with the other shoe die into this.  I added velum in the centre and the cut the detail die which I added over the velum so that cut appears floating with the lilac softer in the background.

Next I cut the centre out using the inner die and added  stamped panel of the lilac behind.  To accent the design I added some pearl corners.  I added mats of the lilac and gold dust and then a panel of embossed card (using the twinkle stars A4 embossing folder)

Finally I added the messy bow of silk white a thin lilac ribbon and a craft consortium metal heart charm.

Here's Sam the jelly baby to count down again.  Thought I would share a little clue today the C in his tummy is a copyright symbol!!!

Enjoy...

  1. Good morning John. Today's card is stunning and gorgeous. One of these cards that you could use for lots of special occasions by adding a sentiment to suit if it's a special birthday or anniversary. You are really teasing now. I think you are bringing your own stamps and things out under your own name. If so can't wait to see them. Hazel x

  3. Eh up John
Beautiful card. I always smile at that sentiment as it reminds me of that other saying "your teeth are like stars, they come out at night" lol!
As for the 2 days, I hope you've got your suit back from the cleaners and the button holes sorted 😆.

  4. Morning John, oh yes I like this one, love the lilac colours and the velum really sets the middle off. and one of your sentiments goes so well inside.

I am a little confused though because I cannot see any Gold stardust card or a shoe die, I guess it must be that predicted text that confuses us all at times.

I think you have just let the cat out of the back, you must be bringing your own designs out under the name of John Next Door, with the 'c' copyright sign inside the jelly baby.............well that is what I think anyway, I am probably wrong. xx

Stay safe, heathy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Anyway to today's beautiful offering ... I love, love, love your card. One I would make without a sentiment till needed. The sentiment you have used is so true, I really like it.
    Have a wonderful day.

  24. Good morning John such a lovely softness to this card suitable for so many things. I'm just catching up with all these jelly baby teasers very suitable trademark for you and as a trademark you must be going into some sort of production and if you need a suit on you must be appearing somewhere. Don't think it will be at Silverstone somehow!! Perhaps Crafting Live? but I don't really see you as a suit person so I don't know. Hey ho will have to wait and see but wishing you everything your hoping for love from Jackie xx

  26. Very pretty After blue, lilac is my next favourite
I hadn't guessed that the "c" was a copyright logo and like others I think you're branching out and creating your own products under YOUR name and not under someone else's umbrella xx

I pray there will be videos and instructions. I have so missed your shows. My learning curve has done way down since I have not been able to watch your shows on hochanda.
