Colour POP...

Happy Thursday,

A different colour combination today which was inspired by the rose buds I bought at a craft shop a couple of weeks ago.  I know the bright red and white is a little unusual and won't ver to everyones taste however I like the pop of colour!

I started by cutting the woodland scene frame ( Ive had so many requests for details on this die I thought I would share the link to where I bought mine here http://www.art-of-craft.co.uk/pcd31-woodland-scene-3pcs.ir

I then  added a panel of lattice behind this before adding the main element.  I made this by cutting 2 of the lattice dies in the tonic trellis circle die using the outlines to make this into a wreath.  I then added pearls around the inner circle.

I then  added the corsage made of satin ribbon, silk ribbon foliage and the red rose buds along with a  couple of Hat Pins.

A few more layers of white and red to balance the front and finished.  I hope you like this colour pop card!

Enjoy...

  4. Oh I do love this card, it's stunning. The white and that amount of red just go together so nicely. I was talking to Adrian ( MC Oyster paper crafts) yesterday and was telling him that you are showing cards using so many older dies and combining different dies together.

Wouldn't be a favourite for me but it's a pretty card. The woodland die is probably the nicest of this style that I've seen.

  21. Dear John
I think your cards are getting lovelier (if that's possible).
Hey...I was lucky enough to win some of your stuff on e-bay this week, so I may need a 'refresher'. They were 12 days of christmas paper pads and christmas sentiment stamps.
    Hope you are well
    love

  23. Wow Stunning, although white on white is not something ive done it is one of the things I most admire. I always feel that the tiniest mistake would stand out so much more on this combination. This would be stunning for a ruby wedding anniversary, or even a wedding card.
lol you may have inspired me to have a go with the white on white

    Love and hugs
