Today's new die is the Spellbinders decorative labels 50 with the twisted palm again 2 spellbinders dies I bought and never used till now!
I stared by cutting the twisted palm die in strawberry creme card form Limetree crafts three times. I added these to a piece of the strawberry card covered in a piece of vellum to soften the colour. I then matted this with layers of white and strawberry to make the card as shown.
The flowers are form Prima and come preformed in single layers in white. I used Victorian velvet distress ink to shed the layers and added three of them, along with some white stamens, to make the flower. I added this over a messy bow made of pink and white satin ribbon.
Finally I added tails to the bow using more of the white and pink with pearls and teardrop beads threaded on to add a little sparkle to the card.

Today I'm sharing this card made with the elegant corner from the Downton Abbey range from Crafters Companion. I bought this die as soon as I saw it as it seemed perfect for me and my stake and this card is the first I came up with.
I started by cutting the die down one side of a piece of champagne pearl card then I rotated the die and cut it down the other edge. Next I placed this over a piece of silver white pearl card and using my scalpel, cut the edge to match those on the die.
I then took a panel of the champagne pearl card and scored it at 1/4" intervals along the length to create the striped background panel. I then added a frame with the spellbinders matting basics dies and foam mounted the layers behind this as shown.
I wanted something classic and elegant to sett off the background and discovered the Decorative Swallowtail Tags die set by Becca Feeken in my unused die box ( the box I'm currently working my way through!) I cut the largest tag in champagne the smallest in white and topped this with the smallest stamped with the sentiment in Cobalt Archival ink in the champagne pearl card.
I mounted these over a bow of blue and white 5mm satin ribbon from my stash. What I love about this die is the fact that I haven't needed to use a pearl anywhere yet it still looks opulent!

As promised today I am sharing new projects I have made! I thought this was a great opportunity to show some of the cards and projects I have made with dies and products form various companies I have bought over the last year or so but haven't been able to use or blog. I know that most crafters see something and buy it only for it to languish in their stash I know I'm terrible for this not being able to go into a craft shop without buying something.
Today's card is made using a Spellbinders die designed by Becca Feeken one of my favourite crafters and designers. A simple colour combination of ivory sky blue and periwinkle hopefully lets the beauty of the die shine.
I started by cutting the long die in the Spellbinders Swirl Bliss die set into a piece of ivory card four times does the length of the piece. I then backed the central 2 panels with sky blue and the outer 2 sections with baby blue card.
Next I matted and layers this onto more layers of the ivory, sky blue and baby blue to make the base card as shown. I added a strip of navy organza ribbon and finished it with a bow and some pearl swirls from my stash. I then made up the flower using spellbinders carnation shaded with broken china distress ink.
The sentiment (from my lily of the valley clear stamp set) is stamped on a stitched flag and shaded with the distress ink.

I'm demonstrating at H&J crafts in Louth today form 10am till 4pm so if you are in the area why not pop in and say hi!
Todays Golden Oldie is a bit of a multi layer fancy but I do love the way it looks like an optical illusion.
Its been fab looking back through some of my golden oldies to see where ideas came from and also how I have developed as a crafter. I really hope you've enjoyed looking back too!

I haven't shared this card before because I am always a little unsure when sharing cards for sympathy or that sneak of loss as we have all been touched with loss in our lives. However yesterday as I was driving I heard all the news ( stuck on the M25 which as i'm sure my British Blog family will know all about) regarding the tragedy in Manchester on Monday evening.
This card came straight to my mind and I thought I would share this todays as I feel the sentiment sums up the feelings of so many of my friends, family and extended crafty family at this time.
The sentiment is very simple but I feel that I says what I and hopefully all of you feel about the tragedy ( I rarely share personal comments on the blog but this time I felt it was appropriate I really hope you all agree)
I won't finish today with Enjoy just with the simple sentiment...

Another box today this time with a centre piece that is die cut instead of an easter egg!
As I have been looking through my older posts and files of photos ( you wouldn't believe how many photos i have of cards and projects loads Ive never blogged!) Ive seen how many different 3D projects I have made. I have found these a real inspiration and will be making lots more boxes and 3D projects in the coming months!
This post was made using the Spellbinders Filigree delight I die I used for so many different projects ( always a sign of a good value die to me)
The box is made of acetate which is one of my favourite mediums to make boxes for as the contents can be protected and seen at the same time.
I made this originally as a gift for a good friend who left Spain ( where I was living at the time) the original post can be seen HERE
I have had some lovely comments over the last week and I just want to say Thank you all so much and to reassure everyone That I am Ok and just taking a small break as I have been crafting non stop ( or so it feels) for over 2 years!

I have chosen a golden oldie today that will also fit as a vintage card as it uses one of the original Striplets by Sue Wilson as well as spellbinders n one of my Easter Egg boxes. I used to make a new easter egg box every year I must make more boxes!

Ive had a renewed interest and comments from the video for this card on You Tube so I thought I would share it in case some of my blog family haven't seen it! I used a mixture of Sue Wilson and Spellbinders for this card and it works with lots of different background dies, i have an idea of a version with a square die?!?
