Apple or Honeydew...

Happy Monday,

I hope everyone in the U.K. thats been afflicted with the snow ( Myself included) have kept nine and warm lol  I thought I would share today a card and matching bow that should remind us all of spring as the colour ( Honeydew or apple I can never decide what to call it) is to me at least very spring like!

There may be many more sets of cards and boxes as I love making a matching bow which allows me to make the cards as deep as i like!

I stared with the card and based this on a 6x6" card blank ( the perfect fit for the sandwich box)  I then matted and layered with the honeydew and gold lustre card.  I then added a panel of dots embossed honeydew lustre card that I had sanded to show the white card.

Next I cut a wreath using the press cut stitch dot dies to fit the card.  I then coloured a piece of white card using the izink dye based ink pads in verbena, tea and dawn.  I then cut my starflower leaves from the card which gives the look of shades on foliage.

I cut the starflower dies in gold lustre card and layers these in the different sizes with crafts too iridescent gems.  I arranged these on the foliage adding the smaller flowers around the edges.

Finally I stamped a sentiment from my everyday sentiments set and cut this out with my mini tags die set.

Quilted in pink...

Happy Sunday,

I hope everyone is well wrapped up with the weather being so cold and possibly snowy!

One of my favourite techniques today using the panel die from the sandwich box die set.

I stared by cutting the panel die into two sides of a piece of wild berry lustre print card.  Next I cut 2 larger panels of the rosa pink and quilted them using the die running it through my platinum using the embossing sandwich so that it embosses but doesn't cut.  I placed these behind the cut pieces so that the embossed areas pop through the cut pieces.
I then added a wide stripe of satin edged ribbon in chocolate with a tie from.  I stamped the sentiment, from my everyday sentiments clear stamps set and cut this out with the larger notched tag die in the tags set.  I added a border made in the pink using the largest and smallest notched tags.

My usual set of mats and layers and finished.

Lilac Daisies...

Happy Saturday,

Weather Permitting I will be at Crafters Companion store in Chesterfield demonstrating all day today so pop along between 10am and 4pm.  I will be demoing my new range of dies so it should be interesting!

I thought today I would share this simple card made with my confetti embossing folder and the herrera daisy die (from the opera box die set)

I embossed a piece of lilac Lustre print card with the confetti frame ( all the square embossing folders were designed to fit within the Sandwich Box.  I then sanded back the raised surface to show the confetti design in white,

I matted a piece of lilac card onto white and added the press cut best wishes die cut in white on top.

I then added the flowers die cut in sanded lilac and white with white micro beads in the centre.  I set these off with lilac seem binding and my starflower leaves cut in white.

Classic Me...

Happy Thursday,

Today I thought I would share another card made using the Sandwich Box dies ( or at least one of the dies in the se) that is very me.  I love making these border cards however with the matching small corner form the sandwich box set I was able to put a matching centre in the card.

I cut the panel die from the sandwich box set around a square of the cocoa bean lustre card matching each die cut on the edge so the pattern goes around the card.

Next I used the small triangular die form the same set and cut this into a square of the same colour card.  I matted this on the gold glaze adding small pearls on each of the junctions.  I then matted this on increasing layers of the gold gaze and the cocoa bean.

I finished with a large starflower cut in the redwood lustre card and a soapy of my starflower leaves cut in the gold lustre.

Simple but very me!

Royal Auburn...

Happy Wednesday,

Hopefully Im back form visiting Aladine ( who make the Izink Inks) in France as today is the last Breedon workshop of the year and we will be making boxes!

I thought I would share the card and sandwich box we are all making today!  This box is on the tutorial video so Ive added the link below in case anyone missed it!

The card is made using the smaller filigree triangle die in the sandwich box set.  I simply added layers of Auburn and Black for drama.

I used my Starflowers and matching leaves cut in black across the front with the mini tags set ovals making a double frame for the sentiment.

Different Direction...

Happy Tuesday,

The sam die, from the sandwich box die set, today but with a different look.

I stared by cutting the panel die into a long piece of the wild berry lustre print card three times down the length of the card.  I left a panel at the side and added a strip of grosgrain ribbon down this as a base for the flowers and sentiment panel.

I added velum behind the cut panel to soften the edge before layering this onto white and then turquoise lustre card.  I cut the gerbera daisy ( from the opera box set) in 2 layers in the wildberry card with a gem in the middle.  I added a spray of my starflower leaves cut in the turquoise surrounding a circle of gold lustre stamped with my everyday sentiment clear set ( I used three lines as each is separate so I could make the message Congratulations then on your then special day.

A few more mats and layers and finished.

Favourite Favourite...

Happy Monday,

Todays card is another made using my new dies and shows a different look you can achieve with the dies in the sandwich box die set!

I stared by cutting a piece of the rosa lustre card into a square 5 x 5".  I then cut the panel die from my sandwich box die, three times into the card.  I love the look of this especially the stitch detail around the panel.  Next I stuck this to  apiece of vellum using the microdot sheets before from mounting it ( using the foam sheets as I was able to cut these as thin as I needed) to a panel embossed with the fancy lattice i the gold lustre card.

Next I cut a 'wreath' in the gold lustre using the press cut stitch dot circles.  I matted this, again using cut down foam sheets, onto a slightly larger circle in the pink cut with the matching plain circles dies.

I attached this to the front using a strip of satin edged organza ribbon in white finishing with a messy bow at the bottom.  I then added the starflowers in the rosa and the snatching leaves in the gold lustre in opposing corners of the 'wreath'

I finished with a few layers of the rosa and gold lustre and card finished!

Simpler Version...

Happy Sunday,

Today's card is a lot simpler than yesterdays however it shows the panel in all its glory and I used the same colours to show the different looks you can achieve!

I started by cutting the panel die from the sandwich box set this time in the Honeydew lustre card with a gold lustre backing.  I added 3mm pearls to each of the junctions as these just cry out for a little Pearlage!

I added this too a panel of the honeydew lustre card embossed with the sweet lattice A4 embossing folder.  However this time I sanded back the colour print to show the white card underneath this really makes this embossed section pop!

Next I cut the bonus herrera daisy flower die ( from the opera box die set) in vellum twice ( with 2 layers of vellum in each pass) this gave me 4 of the flowers which I just mounted together and added a green gem in the middle.  I cut the starflower leaves in the olive lustre card and arranged the flower on top.

All this needs to be complete is a tag and sentiment!

Rambling flowers...

Happy Saturday,

I thought today I would share a card made using the dies in the Sandwich box die set as I know not everyone wants to make boxes so I packed this set with dies that work perfectly for cards and other projects as well!

I made this card well before I received my sentiments stamps however I make most of my cards without sentiments and then add one when required.

I simply cut the panel die from the set into a piece of the gold lustre card and backed this with velum.  I matted and layered this with frames and panels in more of the gold lustre, olive and the Honeydew Lustre print card ( You will be seeing loads off this card as I love it!  I added a layer of embossed card with the fancy lattice A4 embossing folder.

Next I coloured a piece of white card using the Izink pigment ink pads in emerald, verbena, dawn and tea colours.  When I cut this with my Starflower foliage ( the sheet when finished looks really messy) the cut leaves have a far more realistic look to them.

I arranged these across the cut 'trellis' randomly wanting them to look natural.  I then cut all the flowers in my starflower die set in velum using 2 layers of velum so that with one pass i got 16 flowers.  I shaped these and arranged them on the leaves to give the look of flowers crawling over the trellis.

I decided on the sentiment form my everyday sentiments clear stamp set using the matching tags dies to cut this out.  I added it to the left hand side where it fitted, i really feel the sentiment is appropriate.

Opera Gold...

Happy Friday,

Today I am demonstrating my dies for the first time at H&J Crafts in loth.  It is a little nerve wracking to be demonstrating the dies I have designed so I hope everyone will be kind lol

Todays sample is made using a combination of the Opera Box and the panel die from the sandwich box die set as you can see they were designed so they could work together.

I stared by cutting the box lid die form the opera box in Ice Silver lustre print card.  I then used a sheet of the card in A4 and scored along the length at 5cm intervals.  This technique allows you to make a box, as shown, than is taller than the die in the set  I made this one a fully sheet of A4 tall with 2cm scored along the dl;ength for the base.  I then used the circles panel in the sandwich box die set to cut into each of the panels.  As you can hopefully see form the pictures this is designed to fit perfectly ( 5cm is the measurement you need for the box as the lid is made slightly bigger at 5.2cm so that it is a snug fit)

Once cut I glued the box together and added the base cut with the larger base die in the opera box set.

I then folded the lid and added a herrera daisy made with 2 of the die cuts using white micro beads for the centre.

I made another daisy using 3 die cuts and added one of the gems I had on yesterdays shows in the centre making a fuller flower.  I placed this over a bow of satin edged organza and a spray of my Starflower leaves all cut in the ice silver lustre card.

At the Opera...

Happy Thursday Afternoon,

This is a bonus post sharing the second large die in my new release ( available on Hochanda and retailers from today) this is the Opera Box named as I feel its very dramatic!

The die cuts the base as well as the lid which has a really interesting fold once made the lid folds into the flower pattern shown in this picture.

The die set is made for making different sized boxes and the parts can be used for lots of projects so once again this will be popping up loads over the next few days and weeks.

Heres the die in the packet.  I will be sharing more samples tomorrow using the rest of the collection!

They're Here! ...

Happy Thursday,

As I am sure my blog family know I started as a stamper and then moved onto Die cutting I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to design my own stamps now I have also had the opportunity to design my own dies.  This is something I have always wanted to do so whilst I am a little scared as too whether people will like them I am really proud with my first collection.

There are 6 die sets in the collection 2 large dies that make boxes and more ( which is why I called these 2 dynamic dies) and 4 additions which covers Tags, flowers foliage etc.

The first die is based on the sandwich box I made a few years ago using the spellbinders filigree delight die, this has proved to be the most popular video and post I have ever done.  This die set is designed to make the box in an easier manner than all the measuring and scoring I had to do to make the original ( Big thanx go to Jane Smith for the suggestion!!!!)

I would also like to thank June Smith, Mrs Duck and everyone else who had a sneak peak and helped with feedback!

Here is the instructional video for the die set!

This die will also make cards and other projects so you will be seeing a lot of this over the next few days and weeks.

I will reveal the next large die set at 12pm.

Heres the first die the Sandwich box...

more at 12pm....
